Special Interest Groups(SIG's) / Special Research Groups(SRG's) primarily focus on using a specific Computer Genealogy Program or concentrate in Genealogical Research in specific areas or countries.

All attendance is free and your contribution to these groups is greatly encouraged.



Legacy Genealogy Program SIG:

Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Community Room, Lower Level of the Albuquerque Main Library.

Please note that this group does not meet in December.

AGS Writing and Publishing SIG:

Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:30 am to Noon in the Main Library, Genealogy 2nd Floor - Long table near the southeast windows.

The purpose of this SIG is to share techniques and encourage and mentor AGS members in publishing their genealogy research. Information on the Group is posted on the AGS Facebook page (Group: Albuquerque Genealogical Society) and the WordPress Blog.  Contact Mike Blackledge to be added for email notifications.





DAR/SAR Research

Help can be found on the last Tuesday of the month in conjunction with the Albuquerque Genealogical Society Research Days from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Main Library on the 2nd floor Genealogy Center.

General Society of Mayflower Descendents

Help can be found on the last Tuesday of the month in conjunction with the Albuquerque Genealogical Society Research Days from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Main Library on the 2nd floor Genealogy Center.

German Research Group

This group is not currently having separate meetings. However help can be found on the last Tuesday of the month in conjunction with the Albuquerque Genealogical Society Research Days from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Main Library on the 2nd floor Genealogy Center, preferably in the morning hours.

Irish Research Group

Military Research Group

Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of the month 10:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Main Library, Genealogy 2nd Floor - Long table near the southeast windows.
